A LITTLE CLARITY, BEFORE YOU FILE

The right information.
A clearer next step.

Extensions

More time to file generally does not mean more time to pay. Talk with our office about the deadline and payment that apply to you.

Business returns

Your federal tax classification determines the return. An LLC designation alone does not tell you which form to file.

FORM 1120

C-corporation return

Used by domestic corporations, unless exempt or required to use another return, to report income and calculate federal income tax.

FORM 1120-S

FORM 1065

Contractors & information reporting

These forms have different jobs: collecting taxpayer information and reporting qualifying payments.

FORM W-9

Provides a taxpayer identification number and certification to a requester. Give a completed W-9 to the requester, rather than filing it directly with the IRS.
